With school groups, families and other fans coming from all over the state, the Blue goes all out to provide a special game experience and atmosphere. Take a look at last year’s Field Trip Day in Wichita to see what you can expect this year:
“We sometimes don’t get these experiences, for most of our kids this is the first time that they are in a bigger city experiencing a major level sporting event…I think in most cases we are a little leery pulling kids out to attend a sporting event during the school day but adding STEAM activities…puts the connection between school and fun and activity in a sporting event so that was another major plus of us attending.”
– Stephanie Litton, 2 hour drive from Beloit, KS
“We actually have an upper level science teacher that is one of our basketball coaches and he talks about all the physics in basketball all the time. I think there’s definite connections between science, basketball, sports. Obviously, the nutrition, taking good care of yourself, you know all of that is important.”
– Tana Riffel, 1 hour drive from Centre, KS
“The STEM activities are absolutely one of the most important things that we need to be teaching in our classroom today so great job to OKC for covering that. The other aspect of that is social and what a great day to come out and interact with other students and adults doing such a great job.”
– Tammy Tannehill, 40 minute drive from Udall, KS
