Wichita Force to Make INTRUST Bank Arena Home

WICHITA, Kan.— The Wichita Force is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with INTRUST Bank Arena as its home for the next five years. The state of the art facility, located in downtown Wichita, attracts some of the world’s largest concert tours and is also home to the Wichita Thunder professional hockey team.

Managing Partner of the Wichita Force, Marv Fisher issued a statement earlier today:

We are very excited and proud to announce INTRUST Bank Arena as our new home. We took many aspects such as price, location, operations and most importantly fan experience into consideration when deciding where to play. We feel that INTRUST Bank Arena fits perfectly with our mission statement to provide the premier indoor football experience for the fans, players and guests of the Force. We want somewhere the Force can grow and we fully believe that INTRUST Bank Arena lends us that opportunity.

INTRUST Bank Arena will celebrate its fifth anniversary in January 2015 and since its opening has won several awards. In 2013, the arena was ranked #1 in the Midwest according to the Venues Today 2013 Top Stops for venues with seating capacities of 10,001 – 15,000. Their social media is currently ranked #1 in the USA in the Venues Today Social Media Power 100 Chart for similar capacity arenas and they have also been recognized by the International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA) as a nominee for the 2014 Venue of the Year Award.

“We’re thrilled that INTRUST Bank Arena will be the future home of the Wichita Force and are looking forward to a longstanding successful partnership,” commented AJ Boleski, General Manager of the SMG-managed INTRUST Bank Arena. “The Wichita Force will provide another exciting sports & entertainment option in downtown Wichita and we’re excited to see the support the community shows for its newest team and our newest tenant.”

The arena will be configured to hold 6,000 plus fans in the lower seating bowl for Wichita Force home games. Aside from traditional seating, the arena offers a wide array of premium and luxury seating to enhance the fan experience. Champions Indoor Football is set to release the 2015 season schedule in October. Season tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks and can be ordered by calling the Wichita Force front office at 316.425.3009.
