Blake Shelton Reveals 2016 Tour Dates Including INTRUST Bank Arena on Sept. 22
NASHVILLE, TN (April 18, 2016) – On the heels of his sold-out shows earlier this year, country music superstar Blake Shelton will continue the fun this fall with his 2016 Tour Presented by Gildan® , including a stop at INTRUST Bank Arena on Sept. 22. On sale information, including ticket prices, will be announced at a later date.
Shelton will kick-off the tour in his home state with a two-night stand in Oklahoma City, OK on Sept. 9-10. Other double night shows include the Xcel Center in St. Paul, Minnesota and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Fans can look forward to new songs from his forthcoming album If I’m Honest, including the Top 10 “Came Here To Forget” plus many of his 21 number one singles, from his debut single “Austin,” to his most recent #1, “Gonna.”
Shelton received strong reviews from critics while on the road this winter. The Louisville Courier-Journal noted: “When you hear his body of work in the context of a two-hour show, it's also evident why Shelton has struck platinum. He isn't about pyrotechnics, opting for a sincere, likable approach that he pulls off with astonishing ease.” And The Boot said of his show in Buffalo, N.Y.: “Thanks to Shelton’s 10 seasons-long role on The Voice, awards show hosting gigs …it can be easy to forget what got him there in the first place: good, solid country music … and a ton of charisma. Both were on full display throughout his two-hour set.”
Tickets for the Oklahoma City, Peoria, Sioux Falls and Hartford shows go on sale April 22. Ticket prices for the tour will include one copy of Blake’s new album per transaction. All other on sales will be announced at a later date.
Shelton will be offering fans the chance to purchase exclusive VIP experiences on this tour. The Gold Blake Shelton VIP Experience will include one premium reserved ticket in the first 20 rows of the floor plus an invitation to the exclusive pre-show party in the BS’ers Lounge where fans will be treated to a special acoustic performance and Q&A session with Blake. The Platinum Blake Shelton VIP Experience will include one premium reserved ticket in the first 5 rows of the floor, a Blake Shelton autographed guitar and special venue parking in addition to the aforementioned perks of The Gold Blake Shelton Experience. The Silver Blake Shelton Experience will include one premium reserved ticket in the lower bowl and early entry to the venue with dedicated seamless admission. It’s a busy year for Shelton with the release of his new album, If I’m Honest, on May 20, which includes his new single “Came Here to Forget” and “Savior’s Shadow,” at Country and Christian Radio now. Shelton is currently filming his 10th season on the Emmy Award winning, The Voice, on NBC.
Additionally, Shelton released the track and music video for “Friends,” which is featured on The Angry Birds Movie soundtrack. The movie will be released May 2 and he’ll be the subject of a career-spanning exhibition at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee. Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story, which opens May 27, 2016, will explore the life and work of one of country music’s most popular and multi-dimensional artists.
