SMG Announces Promotion and New Hire Within Operations Department

INTRUST Bank Arena, an SMG managed facility, is excited to announce the promotion of Parker Tanner and hiring of Don McCormick, both within the operations department.

Parker Tanner has been promoted to Operations Staff on a full-time basis, after previously serving on the Operations Staff on a part-time basis since February 2019. As a full-time team member, Tanner will participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events, assist in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the facility are met and perform repairs and maintenance tasks. Tanner is a recent graduate of Wichita State University where he received a B.A. in Sport Management.

Don McCormick has joined the SMG team as Maintenance Technician. In this role, McCormick will be responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs to the buildings mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems. McCormick brings extensive experience to his new role, having previously worked in mechanical and maintenance roles at Boeing Company, Spirit AeroSystems, and more.

 “Both Parker and Don are tremendous additions to our Operations team at INTRUST Bank Arena,” commented SMG Director of Operations, Frank Griffith. “They both bring a unique skillset and positive attitudes that will be great assets to our department.
